The internet is over stimulating, you should take breaks

With any psychologically stimulating activity you should take breaks from it even if you enjoy it. Set a timer for 2 hours, after the 2 hours has elapsed stop doing what you're doing and then sit around doing nothing for at least an hour. Do this throughout the day. If you sit around and do nothing your brains default mode network is engaged more and it helps you learn and relax. This would be really beneficial for you if you're studying, at least that's a theory, I'm not sure what told me that.

Hammering our brains with information constantly isnt healthy because our brains didnt evolve to have so much information going through it. You tend to be more flaky if you're constantly busy.

Some of the things you can do while doing nothing is meditating or writing in your journal. Though most of the time should be spent being totally idle. Set your phone on do not disturb and leave your computer alone.

If you simply dont have the time to break up 2 hour sessions of using your computer you could try 20-30 minutes breaks. Work out a time that works out for you.

How to install the Yay aur helper on Arch Linux

It's possible to install aur packages without the help of an aur helper, but it can simplify the process. This is how to install the aur helper.

The first thing you have to do is make sure you have the headers for your kernel installed, which if you were following the installation wiki you have already. The headers for your kernel will be different depending which kernel you have installed.

Install the following packages with pacman, they will get the utilities needed to build yay.

    sudo pacman -S git base-devel

Then do the following:

    cd /tmp
    git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/yay-git.git
    makepkg -si

Not sure I want to use Discord anymore

I've been considering not using Discord anymore do to security and privacy concerns. Mostly about the former. Discord is a poorly coded mess of software and I've been dumb for using it. I'm probably opening myself up for attack using it. I could mitigate that running it in a web browser rather than running discords app on my computer. I'm not even sure I want to use discord on my phone either.

Before fall of last year I didnt use Discord much even though I had an account because it was an insult to my senses. I found it overwhelming and I couldnt find people to talk to that i actually liked. I've gotten used to the app, though i still find is overwhelming at times and a lot of the people still annoy me. The majority of servers I've come across were full of Zoomers and people younger than that. I think people my age mostly use other stuff like IRC, the more technical ones that I can relate to. Though nowadays Rizon IRC is full of edgelords, or maybe it always was full of edgelords. Though Discord has their fare share of them as well.

As for privacy concerns, that's only a minor concern of mine because I'm aware companies are going to be up your butt no matter what you do. Discord glows in the dark. They collect all kinds of information on you. I'm not really worried about that too much, though some 1337 haxor could come by and get that information and use it. I'm not worried about Discord employees themselves I'm more worried about the haxors which is what everyone using the program should be concerned about. Since when companies collect information it's stored somewhere and it can be leaked.

A list of some software I installed on Arch Linux

This is a list of packages I installed on Arch Linux. When you install Arch Linux you get to choose whatever you want to install, though som...
